First Friday ArtWalk | August 7th, 5–8 PM
Featuring Henri Britven & Lorraine Danzo
Join us for the August First Friday ArtWalk at 45º featuring potter Henri Britven and painter Lorraine Danzo.
Henri Britven - From intricately carved tree vases to boldly glazed sculptural forms bursting with organic energy, Henri Britven's ceramics invite you to slow down and feel the living world rendered in clay.
"Rooted in my practice is an ongoing exploration of growth, resilience, and transformation. Trees have long appeared in my work as symbols of grounding and adaptability—their roots reflecting stability while their branches embody movement and change. The meditative act of carving and building mirrors mindfulness practices centered on breath, presence, and connection.
My current collection expands these ideas through abstracted sculptural forms that move beyond direct representation while remaining connected to the natural world. Organic contours, texture, and form become vessels for exploring balance, transition, and quiet strength. Through clay, I seek to create objects that invite reflection and carry a sense of resilience, curiosity, and joy."
Lorraine Danzo - Whether capturing the sweeping stillness of a Colorado mountain lake or the raw energy of emotion through bold abstract strokes, Lorraine Danzo's work spans a lifetime of mastery and feeling.
