Together, we ensure each piece is beautifully preserved and perfectly designed.

What is custom framing

Custom Framing is personally selecting a frame and/or mat board with the assistance of a professional framer to compliment and/or preserve various art mediums or memorabilia. It takes skill, creativity and innovation to create a framed piece so beautiful that it not only enhances the medium (artwork), but the environment in which it is displayed. Good design, creativity, exceptional quality and the know-how to bring all of these elements together.

Why are some frames so expensive?

Characteristics, including type and grade of wood, along with the style of finish and method used to create the finish are just a few of the variances in picture frame prices. Some manufacturers use lighter, low-grade woods and strictly machine finish their products. Others use high quality woods and combine various hand finishing methods to achieve the desired look. Prices may also be affected if genuine gold or silver leafing is used instead of foil. The leafing process is a time enduring procedure that takes several hours and must be completed by hand.

How long does custom framing take?

Our average turnaround time for custom framing is about 4 weeks. Need it sooner? We’re happy to accommodate rush orders whenever possible. With weekly deliveries from our local distributors, we can often complete projects in as little as one week by selecting materials that are readily available. Just let us know your timeline, and we’ll guide you toward the best options to meet your deadline.

How can I care for my picture frame?

We recommend using a soft, lint free cloth that is free of dyes or chemicals. Slightly dampen the cloth with water and make sure not to use harsh or abrasive cleansers. We do not recommend any type of conditioner, or chemical to be placed on your frames. Simply dusting the frame, and cleaning it with a clean, damp cloth should help keep your frames looking good for its expected life. Remember frames can be affected by age, exposure to sun, heating, cooling and humidity.
