Tony Guido

Introducing

Tony Guido

Colorado Springs, CO
(b. 1956, Iowa)

Tony Guido grew up in the Midwest, always in awe of nature’s beauty. While studying at the University of Nebraska at Kearney, he took a ceramics class and was immediately hooked, fascinated by creating functional pieces for everyday use.

After earning a B.A. in Art Education in 1979, Tony taught art for two years and later owned a floral shop, which deepened his appreciation for incorporating natural elements into his ceramics. His early work featured non-functional ceramics accented with dried materials, branches, and pods.

Moving to Colorado in 2002, Tony found endless inspiration in the state's natural beauty. His current work blends function and artistry, featuring hand-carved aspen trees,  pinecones, and mountain landscapes. Each piece is carefully crafted, with rich textures and earthy glazes that evoke the rugged elegance of the outdoors. Whether it’s a functional platter or a sculptural vase, Tony’s ceramics capture the essence of Colorado’s wilderness, bringing the serenity of nature into everyday life.
