• The salt pig wants to live beside your stove so you can scoop or pour a bit of salt whenever you need it while you are cooking, even if you are busy stirring a pot with one hand. Turn the pig so the opening is away from the stove and it will keep bubbling pots and pans from splattering into your salt. You can either scoop the salt from the opening in the belly or pour it from the top.
