Steve Becker is a skilled potter specializing in both cone 6 stoneware and raku ceramics. His journey with clay began in 2007 at the Bemis School of Art in Colorado Springs, where he fell in love with the potter’s wheel. Inspired by nature, Steve’s work is defined by flowing curves, bold color combinations, and rich textures.

Drawing from organic forms like trees, fruits, and squash, he brings a touch of whimsy to his pieces. His goal is to highlight the beauty of everyday objects, encouraging viewers to find new personal connections through his work.

Steve’s collection features a range of functional ceramics, including bowls, pitchers, vases, mugs, and canisters. Earthy tones flow across his pieces, accented by unexpected textures and highlights. Through these elements, he explores  the interplay between form and sensation, enhancing the tactile experience of his pottery.

A longtime Colorado resident, Steve is an active member of Manitou Art Center, where he continues to refine his craft and explore new creative possibilities.
