My work is rooted in observation, curiosity, and the search for a feeling in everyday subjects.  Working primarily in oil paint, I love creating floral paintings and portraits that explore both outer beauty and inner experience.  Rather than beginning with a fixed message, I allow meaning to emerge through the process. Layers of color, light and form become a way of discovering connections between the natural world and our shared human and spiritual experiences.  Whether painting a face, a blossom or a simple object, I am interested in revealing something timeless and deeply felt.  

My hope is that these paintings invite viewers to pause, reflect, and find their own stories within the work.
