I am a multidisciplinary artist with a BFA in Metalsmithing and Jewelry Design and a minor in Ceramics from Pratt Institute. For over fifteen years, clay has been a grounding and expressive medium in my practice. My work explores the balance between craftsmanship and the handmade—embracing the marks of the maker while striving for refinement. Using colored slips and carved sgraffito designs, I create tactile surfaces that celebrate texture, color, and form.
A recurring motif in my work is the tree, with its roots and branches symbolizing both stability and flexibility. During times of change, I’m drawn to carve and paint trees as part of my mindfulness practice—a meditative process that mirrors the rhythm of breath and the flow of presence. Their roots remind me to stay grounded in who I am, while their limbs swaying in the breeze encourage openness to growth and change. My ceramics carry this spirit of resilience, connection, and quiet joy.
