Sandcast beads, also known as powder glass or sugar glass beads, are made in African (typically Ghana), with upcycled glass. They are slightly grainy in texture, which is what gives them their name.

This strand is made with dark blue Sandcast beads, light blue, translucent Sandcast beads, small vintage cylinder glass beads from the Philippines, and small yellow porcelain beads.
