I love making pots! I can’t imagine my life otherwise. I also live for nature’s surprises and all the beauty the earth offers every day. I love the wind, rain, snow and the warmth of the sun. I love the moon and its cycles. I love the rocks, the trees, and the mountains. I believe this shows up in my work, and that it is important to share my perspective of the world in my pots. I’m not a scientific potter. When I sit down at the wheel with a lump of clay, I let spirit guide me. As in nature, I enjoy the surprises the kiln has to offer when I open it, especially when I am trying something really new and different. Sometimes I dance when I pull a pot out! I am so grateful to be able to do this creative work and hope that the people who have my pieces in their home can feel the joy.”
