In Buddhism, meditation plays an important role in one’s ability to pursue a path towards liberation, awakening and Nirvana. In the most general definition, meditation is a way of taking control of the mind so that it becomes peaceful and focused, and the meditator becomes more aware. When we made this necklace and started wearing it, it was hard not to play with the charms. They reminded us of a tool for meditation, to help focus our attention on the present moment.
Using small brass beads, each necklace is hand-fabricated.

The designs in the Bayon Collection were born out of a desire to represent the sacred & spiritual places of Cambodia and the Khmer people. Handcrafted using small brass beads and sterling silver wire, they radiate elegance and thoughtfulness. By digging through this collection, we hope you will find yourself enlightened, inspired and transformed by the interpretations of mythological places, carved stone temples and the natural Cambodian landscape.

A native Texan, Claire’s affection for handmade goods began at an early age on the wood floors of her parents’ dusty ceramics studio. In 2009, Claire attended Penland School of Crafts where she immediately fell in love with the tools, techniques and functionality of the craft of metalsmithing. A curiosity of ancient world cultures and an enthusiasm for travel continue to impact her work and practice. Yet, as far across the globe Claire wanders, she is always drawn back home to the quiet and calm of the southwest.
