One of a kind Furniture by Tom Conter
- 37” l x 10-14” W x 24” H. This piece of Silver Maple is from my sawmill in Lake George CO. The array of colors is due to the dramatic difference in beige sapwood, brown and pink heartwood, and the rust color on the live edge. The end crack is filled with AZ turquoise and epoxy resin. The stainless steel hairpin legs are from a fabricator in Detroit, MI.

Live Edge Woodcrafts: This style incorporates the natural edge of the wood into the design of the piece making each one unique. All of the wood has been responsibly harvested along the Colorado Front Range from dead or dying old growth or from a sawmill in Tucson. All pieces incorporate turquoise inlay to repair damaged knots or to fill cracks, while retaining other imperfections in a “distressed” look. Each piece undergoes about fifteen crafting steps to complete the unique look and feel of natural edge tables and other furnishings.
