(b. 1973, Massachusetts)
I was born in Massachusetts. Growing up, we moved around a lot through the East Coast, Spain, and South America. In 2022, after living for the past 20 years in Colombia, I moved to Colorado to be close to my family.
I graduated from Florida Atlantic University with a Bachelors in Fine Arts. During the 90’s my primary focus was still life’s, the female figure and oil paints. Then a new world opened to me through my kids; picture books and illustrations. For many years, I have been working as an illustrator and that has really influenced my style of artwork today. I currently paint in watercolors, acrylics, and conte crayon on wood laminate. While in Colombia I started painting birds endemic to South America and since moving to Colorado I have started adding the birds from here too. I also paint bears, mountains, and other animals. I think after living in a big city for so long, I wanted to immerse myself in nature.
