I am a small-town girl who was born and raised on the eastern plains of Colorado. In 2007 after having two kids and them reaching school age, I needed something more to occupy my time as I lived in a town with no much to do where the population of cows far exceeds the number of people. With not many options for jobs, I taught myself to solder and begin creating jewelry pieces incorporating vintage ephemera. After receiving positive feedback on my pieces I began selling at crafter fairs in Denver and online through Etsy.

I still enjoy creating jewelry and other unique pieces with found objects. Today my husband and I are busy chasing our two kids to softball and baseball games, but when I can find the time I love to venture back to the country and comb the prairies old bottles, rusty nails, bones or any other relics. I am drawn to anything that has a history and a story to tell. I hope when people see my pieces they feel a connection to a time gone by and that they will enjoy my pieces as much as I enjoy creating or finding them. – LaniÂ
