Purchasing Art
- How do I purchase artwork?
Online:
We’re delighted to offer online shopping, and we thank you for choosing 45º. Our e-commerce site showcases a selection of what you’ll find in the gallery. Works with an Add to Cart button can be purchased and paid for online. Pieces marked as Available on Backorder are made to order, so please allow 4–6 weeks for delivery. Unfortunately, works marked as Sold are unavailable, but we’re happy to arrange for the artist to create a custom piece for you via commission (see below). If you can’t find exactly what you’re looking for, please contact us—we can offer additional options not featured on our website.
Are you purchasing a gift? Let us know in the order notes at checkout. If you’d like a gift message included, simply type a short note in the comments, and we’ll handwrite it on a blank note card for you.
In-Gallery:
Visiting the gallery allows you to explore our full range of available artwork. If you’re traveling, we’re happy to wrap each piece for safe transport home or ship your purchases directly to you. For local customers, we offer free delivery within a 15-mile radius. We also offer gift wrapping! If you are looking for a personalized experience, we’d be happy to meet you before or after hours.
- Do you offer payment plans?
Yes, we do! We offer no-interest layaway plans. With just 1/3 down, you can secure your favorite piece and pay the balance over the next 3 months. It’s our way of making art more accessible and helping you bring home the pieces you love.
- Can I commission a piece?
Absolutely! We love working on commissions, and our artists do too. Whether your favorite piece has already sold, or it’s not quite the right size for your space, we’d be thrilled to have the artist create a new piece inspired by it. If you love an artist’s style but want something more personal, we’re here to help make your vision a reality.
In many cases, we’ll arrange for you to meet with the artist in the gallery to collaborate directly, ensuring that the final piece perfectly reflects your unique vision.
- Why should I purchase artwork through the gallery instead of directly from the artist?
When you purchase artwork through our gallery, you’re supporting a local business that is dedicated to fostering the careers of Colorado artists. We’ve cultivated relationships with our artists over many years, and your purchase helps us continue to offer them another platform to showcase their work. Additionally, we’re here to assist you every step of the way, whether it’s finding a specific piece, arranging a commission, curating a collection or sharing insights into the artist’s latest projects. Your support ensures we can continue to be a vital part of the art community, providing a space where both artists and art lovers can connect.
Shipping and Delivery
- Do you ship artwork?
Yes, we ship to the continental United States. We primarily use UPS but can ship via USPS if you use a PO Box. Shipping is charged at a flat rate based on the size of the item. We take pride in reusing packing materials from our custom framing shipments to save you money and reduce our environmental impact.
- How is the artwork packaged for shipping?
Each piece is carefully wrapped, ensuring at least 2 inches of packing material between the item and the box. We insure every shipment and provide tracking services for your peace of mind.
- How long does it take to receive my order?
If you choose UPS 3 Day Select, we ensure that all orders received before 12:00 pm are shipped the same day. We do our best to ship Ground packages within 3 business days.
- What if my items arrive damaged?
While this is a rare occurrence, if your items arrive damaged, please take photos of the box, packing materials, and the damaged items. We will file a claim as soon as possible. Rest assured, we will have your items remade as closely as possible, or we will refund you for the damaged item(s).
Framing Services
- Do you offer custom framing?
Yes! Reed has been framing for over 20 years and brings meticulous attention to every project. One of the standout features of 45° is the diversity in our frame selection. We’ve curated over 1,500 samples to suit a wide range of decor styles and budgets. We use conservation-grade materials to ensure that your cherished items are properly preserved.
- Can I bring my own artwork to be framed?
Absolutely! Whether you’re framing a favorite band poster, sports jersey, family portrait, or an original fine art piece, your items will be handled with the utmost care and professionalism.
Gift Cards
- Do you offer gift cards?
Yes, you can purchase gift cards both in-gallery and online here. Gift cards purchased online can either be mailed to the recipient or provided as a gift code for online purchases—just let us know your preference in the checkout comments. Gift cards can be used for any gallery items or custom picture framing.
Artist Information
- Who are the artists you represent?
We proudly represent approximately 30 Colorado artists. Some have been with us for over 10 years, while others have just joined us this year. To learn more about the artists we represent and see a sample of the works we have available, please click here.
- How can I contact the artist directly?
We do not share our artists’ contact information directly. If you’d like to connect with an artist, please let us know, and we’ll arrange for them to contact you. If you discovered an artist through our gallery or website, it’s our privilege to help you find the perfect piece. By purchasing through us, you’re not only supporting the artist but also our gallery, which allows us to continue promoting local talent and providing a space for these artists to be seen and to thrive. We often have insider knowledge on new works in the artists’ studios and would be thrilled to help you explore those options.
- How do you choose the artists you represent?
What’s most important to us is that each artist offers a unique perspective in their medium. If you’re an artist seeking representation, we recommend visiting galleries to ensure you connect with the space and the people working there. Take a close look at the work represented—does your art fit in without replicating a style already shown? Are you able to create a cohesive body of work, with at least 10 pieces in a consistent style? Finding representation can be challenging, but persistence pays off. If you’d like to submit to 45º, please email us a link to your portfolio or send 5 images that best represent your medium and style. We receive submissions weekly, and while we may not be able to respond to each one, please know that your work has been received and appreciated.
Events and Exhibitions
- Do you host events or exhibitions?Yes! We participate in First Friday ArtWalk, held on the first Friday of every month. It’s a wonderful opportunity to mix and mingle with the art community, meet local artists, and maybe even watch them create.

Accessibility
- Is your gallery accessible?
Yes, our gallery is wheelchair accessible. The front door has a 1/4″ threshold, which is easy to navigate. We also ensure that all pathways within the gallery are at least 3 feet wide to accommodate visitors with disabilities.
- Do you offer virtual tours?
While our gallery is constantly evolving, making a static online tour difficult, we are happy to offer a personalized virtual shopping experience through FaceTime. Terms Of Purchase
Overview: When you purchase artwork from 45º, you agree to our basic terms, which cover payment, order processing, and shipping details. Here are the key points:
- Payment: Full payment is required before we ship your artwork.
- Sales Tax: We collect an 8.2% sales tax on purchases made by Colorado residents.
- Orders: Orders can be placed online, by phone, or by email. For international or rush orders, please contact us directly.
TERMS OF PURCHASE
All purchases from 45 Degree LLC. (“gallery” “we” or “our”) are subject to the following terms. Remitting payment to gallery to purchase Artwork (defined below) constitutes your (“Purchaser”) unconditional acknowledgment and acceptance of these terms and conditions.
Definition of Artworks: Artworks means works of art designed, developed, crafted, and/or manufactured by or for gallery and made available for sale.
Ordering Artwork
Orders: Purchasers may place orders for Artwork in the ways listed in the How To Purchase Artwork section above. Generally, orders may be placed online, via email, or by telephone.
International Orders: Orders for Artwork requiring shipping to addresses outside of the U.S. must be placed via email. Please send a message to hello@45degreegallery.com with the following: a link to the Artwork(s) of interest, as well as the Purchaser’s shipping address, contact telephone number, and email address to permit Gallery to send Purchaser an invoice.
Time Sensitive Orders: All rush orders must be submitted to Gallery via telephone or email. Although not guaranteed, we will do our best to prepare and ship the Artwork to meet your deadline. Rush fees and/or expedited shipping charges may apply.
Invoices for Orders: Upon placing an order to purchase Artwork and depending on the type of order, Purchaser will receive an online order confirmation, invoice, or commission overview itemizing the Artwork ordered.
Payment for Artwork
Payment: Payment in full by Purchaser to Gallery is required prior to shipment of the Artwork from Gallery to Purchaser. Orders for Artwork placed online are paid in full upon checkout. For orders of Artwork placed via telephone or email, Gallery will deliver an invoice to Purchaser setting forth Purchaser’s payment obligations. If the invoice is unpaid within seven (7) days of galleries delivery to Purchaser, Gallery reserves the right to cancel the order.
Sales Tax: 45 Degree collects sales tax on purchases made by Purchasers located in Colorado, which are subject to a 8.2% sales tax.
Indemnification: Purchaser shall defend, indemnify and hold Gallery harmless from and against any and all damages, costs, judgments, penalties and expenses of any kind, including reasonable outside legal fees and disbursements resulting from any third party claim (collectively “Losses”), that may arise out of or result from the breach of this Agreement, or the acts or omissions of Purchaser or its employees or agents.
Miscellaneous
Governing Law: This Agreement will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Colorado. The venue for any controversy or claim arising out of or relating to this Agreement or breach thereof, shall be the appropriate state and federal courts located in Colorado Springs, CO. Accordingly, Purchaser and Gallery each submit to the jurisdiction of such courts. In the event any provision of this Agreement shall be held invalid or unenforceable by any court of competent jurisdiction, such holding shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions hereof.
No Partnership: Nothing herein contained shall constitute a partnership or a joint venture between Gallery and Purchaser. Neither Gallery nor Purchaser hereto shall hold itself out contrary to the terms of this paragraph, and neither Gallery nor Purchaser shall become liable for any representation, act or omission of the other contrary to the provisions hereof.
