September ArtWalk with Amelia Furman and Tony Guido

September 7, 2018 @ 5:00 am - 8:00 pm

Free

Nature lovers unite for our September ArtWalk. Amelia Furman (mixed media paintings) and Tony Guido (functional pottery) are our featured artists. Each will captivate you with their newest pieces and inspiring demonstrations. Join us from 5pm to 8pm on Friday, September 7th.

Amelia’s background in printmaking and illustration has heavily influenced the direction of her work. She works in a combination of paper collage, text and thin layers of acrylic or oil paint. Using a selection of documents, vintage images, handwritten text, and symbols associated with the painted image, she reminds the viewer that places and objects have many layers of meaning, memory, and beauty.

When Tony moved to Colorado in 2002, he felt at home with Colorado’s majestic outdoor playground. In his studio, Tony has been inspired to create functional ceramics, accenting Colorado’s motif of aspens, pinecones and mountain views. His love for clay has grown over the years and Tony enjoys the freedom clay gives to be functional, as well as sculptural, and finds the possibilities for creativity to be limitless.
