April ArtWalk with Emily & Reed Fair

It’s ArtWalk season! 45° is featuring Emily and Reed Fair. That’s right, we’re fully utilizing our BFA degrees. Reed and I are committed to creating our hearts out.
This first collection features Raku sculptural ceramics. Did you know that Raku means pleasure or enjoyment? We couldn’t agree more. We both are drawn to the hand built nature of traditional Raku. The red hot fire, experimenting with combustibles and more immediate gratification of a quick firing process never gets old.
Emily’s pieces are organic shapes emphasizing the spontaneity of raku glazes. Reed creates modern geometric sculptures with carved and applied textures.
