Ramona Lapsley is originally from Brighton, Colorado who currently lives in Manitou Springs. She is a printmaker specializing in Intaglio and linoleum print processes. Her images reflect her love of Colorado Sport Fish and subjects from her evolving garden. She has delved into other subjects such as her body of prints based on her “field trips” to Italy with her hand colored solar etchings or her linoleum prints of Arches Natl. Park. She has been printing for many years in her studio at the Manitou Art Center in Manitou Springs, CO. She is also an art teacher at Mountainside Elementary where her students provide her with plenty of fun and unjaded creative energy!
Ramona is a graduate of Concordia University- Nebraska and the University of Wisconsin- Milwaukee, and recipient of several awards both as an artist and art educator. She has prints in national and international collections.
